Composite Fillings

Now a days, the use of tooth colored resin materials for tooth fillings are very popular, gradually elilminating the use of silver amalgam fillings. These Composite Fillings are bonded to the tooth surfaces of the cavity  giving it strength and beauty since it matches the color of the teeth, giving it the illusion that there is no cavity at all.

Glass Ionomer Fillings

Famously called GIC (Glass Ionomer Cement) , this filling material is usually used in pediatric and geriatric patients, due to its ease of use and not technique sensitive.  Having this characteristics makes it easy for a “sometimes impatient” patients to deal with. GIC‘s are also used as an interim or temporary filling and for cementation.

Inlays and Onlays

Inlays and Onlays are indicated for use in cavities where almost half of the tooth structures are missing due to large tooth decay. This can be a composite material directly built on the tooth or fabricated in the laboratory, then finally cemented on the tooth.
